A plaintiffs lawyer whose career was upended over his communications with a criminally indicted former Willkie Farr & Gallagher partner is writing what he called a “deeply personal memoir” about “friendship and betrayal” related to the still-evolving drama.

Attorney Gary B. Friedman, in court papers filed Tuesday, is promising a book “with a wide sweep” that uses, among other sources, thousands of pages of emails and documents from credit card litigation pending in the Eastern District of New York.

Friedman had represented plaintiffs in two massive antitrust cases, one against American Express and another against Visa and MasterCard and various banks, in the Eastern District.
