The Dominican Bar Association (DBA) held its 14th Annual Scholarship Gala at Battery Gardens on Tuesday.
The 2017 honorees are Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Manuel Mendez, at left, Lourdes Ventura, partner at Ahmuty, Demers & McManus, second from left, and Robinson Iglesias of the Law Office of Robinson Iglesias, at right. The honorees were recognized for their leadership, giving back to the community, and empowering other Latinos.
Joining them were, next to Ventura, from left, Eric Gonzalez, Acting Brooklyn District Attorney; Vianny Pichardo, president of the Dominican Bar Association; and Darcel Clark, Bronx District Attorney. The Scholarship Gala is the DBA's signature fundraising event, that since its inception has given more than $50,000 in scholarships to deserving students.

The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota.
