The Office of the Appellate Defender will host its 24th annual “First Monday in October” fundraiser on Oct. 2.
Barry Berke, a partner at Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel, and John Savarese, a partner at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz will receive the Gould Award for legal advocacy. They will argue “Carpenter v. United States,” a case that will be heard by the U.S. Supreme Court next term and addresses Fourth Amendment limits on the government’s efforts to obtain historical cell site location data.
