In your issue of December 28, 2017 you published a letter from Howard S. Davis complaining of limitation of access to the courts for people with hearing loss. I am such a person.

I argued in the Appellate Division, Second Department, on December 15, 2017 and announced my disability to the panel. The PJ put up his hand, beckoned to the court officer and there was produced a device which fit on my head and made it completely possible for me to hear the court and my adversary.

At least one court showed consideration for those who suffer from loss of hearing for which I am very grateful.
