White Fleischner & Fino Splits Into 2 Firms
Eight insurance attorneys have formed a New York law firm, Fleischner Potash Cardali Chernow Coogler Greisman Stark Stewart.

White Fleischner & Fino has officially split into two firms.
About 40 attorneys will be part of Fleischner Potash Cardali Chernow Coogler Greisman Stark Stewart.
Most of the rest of the staff is joining another new firm with 10 attorneys, White, Werbel & Fino.
White Werbel & Fino will handle motor vehicle accidents, slip/trip and falls, premises liability, municipal liability, construction site/labor law accidents, product liability cases and dram shop cases and wrongful death actions. Paul Fino and Shelly Werbel are the name partners and Allan White is serving as counsel emeritus.
“Everyone got what they wanted and some got what they deserved,” Fine said. “It's an amicable separation and we all go on our merry way.”
In October, White Fleischner & Fino sent notices under the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act to 59 employees in New York, warning of a mass layoff. At the time, Benjamin Fleischner said the firm was splitting into two and that no staff reductions were expected.
Fleischner Potash will specialize in insurance coverage, defense and subrogation law in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Connecticut. This includes product and premises liability, construction injury and insurance regulatory filings and claims, as well as fraud and arson investigations. One of its clients will be Lloyd's Syndicates, the new firm announced in a press release.
The Fleischner Potash name partners are Patti Potash, Wendy Cardali, Jonathan Chernow, Gil Coogler, Jared Greisman, Adam Stark and Daniel Stewart. Fleischner will be of counsel to Fleischner Potash.
Partner Jared Greisman was tapped in 2014 to serve as co-lead defense liaison counsel in Brooklyn federal court for insurers involved in litigation over damage caused by 2012's Hurricane Sandy. That role put the firm in the position of helping coordinate defense efforts in hundreds of lawsuits brought in Sandy's wake.
Fleischner Potash will have offices in Manhattan, White Plains and Garden City. They will also have offices in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Michael G. Bongiorno, Andrew Scott Dulberg and Elizabeth E. Driscoll from Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr have stepped in to represent Symbotic Inc., an A.I.-enabled technology platform that focuses on increasing supply chain efficiency, and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The suit was filed Sept. 7 in Wisconsin Western District Court by Levine Eisberner LLC and Siri & Glimstad on behalf of a project manager who claims that he was wrongfully terminated after applying for a religious exemption to the defendant's COVID-19 vaccine mandate. David X. Sullivan, Thomas J. Finn and Gregory A. Hall from McCarter & English have entered appearances for Sunrun Installation Services in a pending civil rights lawsuit. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
