Mock Trial Tournament Opens in Nassau County
On Feb. 7, Supreme Court Justice Sharon M.J. Gianelli welcomed over 500 high school students, school officials and parents to the 2018 New York State Mock Trial Tournament held at the Nassau County Supreme Court.

On Feb. 7, Supreme Court Justice Sharon M.J. Gianelli welcomed over 500 high school students, school officials and parents to the 2018 New York State Mock Trial Tournament held at the Nassau County Supreme Court.
This year, 48 schools from Nassau County will participate in the tournament. The winning team from Nassau County goes on to compete for the New York State championship title. Nassau County volunteer judges and attorneys advise the high school teams and preside over individual trials.
The Mock Trial Tournament is a joint initiative sponsored by the New York State Bar Association and coordinated by the Nassau County Bar Association.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays.
