New York County Supreme Court's 28th Annual Black History Month Celebration was held on Tuesday at the Supreme Court Rotunda, 60 Centre Street. The theme for the national celebration was “African Americans in Times of War.” In keeping with this theme, Tuskegee Airmen Wilfred DeFour (seated right) and William Johnson (seated left) were presented with The Trailblazer Award.

Joyce Hartsfield, Executive Director of the Franklin H. Williams Judicial Commission, was presented with The Hon. Theodore T. Jones, Jr. Lifetime Achievement Award. Chief Judge Janet DiFiore, the keynote speaker for the evening, was given The Equality in Justice Award.
