On Tuesday, Deputy U.S. Marshal Trevor McPolin received the Congressional Badge of Bravery Award, presented by Congressman Daniel Donovan Jr.

McPolin was recognized for his actions on August 14, 2015 while executing an arrest warrant of a violent fugitive on Staten Island. While attempting to execute the warrant, he and Task Force members were fired upon by the fugitive, and a responding New York City firefighter was shot and incapacitated. McPolin, with others, entered the line of fire to remove the wounded firefighter to safety. Pictured from left to right: Eastern District Judge Eric N.
