- Timothy Clark has rejoined Dechert as a partner, focusing on investment funds and secondary transactions. He was previously a partner at O'Melveny & Myers.
- Mark Ustin has joined Farrell Fritz as a partner and will lead the firm's New York State Regulatory & Government Relations Practice Group. He was formerly a partner at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips. Also joining the group are Government Relations Director Vanessa Bongiorno, a non-attorney professional, and associate Daniel Rubin, formerly of Girvin & Ferlazzo.
- Dana Koos has been named managing partner of Goldberg, Miller & Rubin at the firm's New York office.
- Morghan L. Richardson has joined Davidoff Hutcher & Citron as a partner in the firm's Divorce and Family Law practice group. She joins from Richardson Legal.
- David J. Passey has joined Schulte Roth & Zabel's Tax Group. Previously, he was a partner at Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton, and co-head of that firm's REIT practice.
- Offit Kurman has added Lawrence Steckman and John Morin as a principal-level attorneys. They were both formerly at Eaton Van Winkle.
- Ashish Gandhi has joined Ganfer & Shore as counsel, focusing his practice on commercial securities, litigation, real estate and bankruptcy. He was formerly counsel at Weil Gotshal.
- Blank Rome has hired Daniel Belzil as an associate in the firm's Insurance Recovery Practice. He joins from joins from Weg and Myers.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
