Thomas A. Adams, Administrative Judge of Nassau County, received the Charles A. Rapallo and Justice Antonin Scalia Award at a ceremony held at the Plaza Hotel in New York on Friday, April 6. The award was presented by the Columbian Lawyers Association of the First Department, an association of attorneys of Italian descent.

The award, originally named the Rapallo Award in honor of Charles Rapallo, the first Italian-American elected to the Court of Appeals of New York, was renamed the Charles A. Rapallo and Justice Antonin Scalia Award, following the death of Antonin Scalia, the first Italian-American on the U.S. Supreme Court.
