The LGBT Bar Association has announced the recipients of this year's “Best LGBT Lawyers Under 40″ awards. The New York-based awardees are: Chase Strangio, Staff Attorney, American Civil Liberties Union; Ezra Cukor, Staff Attorney, New York City Commission on Human Rights; Gennaro Savastano, Associate, Weitz & Luxenberg; Jason Canales, Partner, Moses & Singer; Jason Wu, Staff Attorney, The Legal Aid Society; Steffi Romano, Staff Attorney, Equal Justice Works Fellow; Kate Rhodes, Partner, Epstein Becker & Green and Jonah Knobler, Partner, Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler. Awards will be presented at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York in August.

Karen Hoffman Lent has been appointed as associate director of the Fordham Competition Law Institute. Lent is a partner at Skadden and a 1991 graduate of Fordham Law.

Andrew Jagoda, partner and co-head of Katten Muchin Rosenman's Real Estate practice and a member of the firm's board of directors, has been named a Fellow of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys.

Legal Services of the Hudson Valley has named Christopher R. Cabanillas, founder and principal of Cabanillas & Associates, and Jeremiah Frei-Pearson, a founding partner of Finkelstein, Blankinship, Frei-Pearson & Garber, as new board members.

Hillary Frommer has been appointed co-chair of the New York County Lawyers Association's Estates, Trusts and Surrogate's Court Practice Committee. Her three-year term begins on July 1, 2018.
