The New York City Bar Association held its annual Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Distinguished Lecture on Women and the Law on Tuesday.

Barbara Babcock, second from left below, Crown Professor of Law, Emerita at Stanford Law School and author of “Woman Lawyer: The Trials of Clara Foltz,” a biography of the first woman lawyer in the West, delivered this year’s lecture. City Bar president Roger Juan Maldonado, at right below, gave the welcome address. Joining them were U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, also speaking above, and Bret Parker, executive director of the New York City Bar Association.
