A town judge in Schenectady County has agreed to resign and never seek or accept judicial office again after a decision by the State Commission on Judicial Conduct Wednesday.

The commission found Siegel did not file any of her reports on time with the comptroller and town of Duanesburg between December 2015 and February 2017. Judges are required by state law to report and remit court funds to the state and their jurisdiction by the 10th day of the month following collection. Siegel had to remit funds from January by Feb. 10, for example.
