Megan Goddard, Managing attorney, Goddard Law

Q: What are some of your proudest recent achievements?

A: Watching the relief spread over the faces of my clients as they obtained justice at three trials in three-and-a-half months made me very proud.

Q: What does it mean to be a leader?

A: Doing your best, for yourself, and those around you, and helping others to do their best.

Q: Name a lawyer or mentor whose leadership inspired you.

A: I am inspired by, and grateful to, the women who came before me and cleared the path for me, and for all of the women who came after them, and I strive to live up to their example. Chief Judge Judith Kaye was a leader I have deeply admired throughout my career.

Q: How are the business and profession of law changing, and how should lawyers adapt for the future?

A: Lawyers need to be creative problem solvers, and they need to consider the big picture of a client's life, not just their case.

Q: What is the best advice for someone considering a career in law, or someone already in the profession who is seeking to make a greater impact?

A: Finding an area of law that you are passionate about!
