Executive Director of Children's Rights Sandy Santana, pictured right, and Lee Gelernt, deputy director of the ACLU's Immigrants' Rights Project, joined together at the Children's Rights Benefit & Inspiration Awards gala at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers on Oct. 16. Gelernt was honored with the Inspiration Award for leading the national class action lawsuit that resulted in a court injunction stopping the administration's child separation policy.
