On Nov. 1, The New York Landmarks Conservancy hosted its 25th “Living Landmarks Conservancy Gala” at The Plaza. The celebration honors distinguished New Yorkers as “living landmarks” for their contributions to the city.

This year's honorees were Stephen Lash, preservationist and Christie's Americas Chairman Emeritus; Lynden Miller, acclaimed parks designer; philanthropists Liz and Jeffrey Peek; Broadway legend Chita Rivera; Dr. Thomas Sculco, renowned surgeon; award-winning industrial designer Ruth Lande Shuman; Peter Stangl, former MTA chair; and Michael Sovern, Shubert Foundation president and Columbia University legal scholar, pictured above with his wife, Patricia Sovern.

The conservancy is dedicated to preserving and protecting iconic buildings in New York City.
