About 500 children and their families attended the Legal Aid Society's annual holiday party for homeless and other vulnerable children, held at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine on Dec. 13. Having some great face time with Santa, played by Legal Aid paralegal Javier Chuck, are from left Alijah Jones, 7, Justice Jones, 1, and Robert Jones, 11. Standing are Janet Sable, who is returning to the Legal Aid Society in January to take over as interim attorney-in-chief and CEO, and Society chair Richard Davis.
