Po Yi has joined Manatt, Phelps & Phillips as partner in the firm's consumer protection, advertising & competition practice. Formerly she was a partner at Venable in that firm's advertising and marketing group.
Anderson Kill has promoted Peter Halprin, Raymond Mascia, Jr. and Vianny Pichardo Paulino to shareholders. All three are members of the firm's insurance recovery group.
Morrison & Foerster has hired Ann Becchina and Ron Aizen to partners in the firm's Executive Compensation + ERISA Group. Both join from Davis Polk.
Patrick Burke has joined Phillips Nizer as a partner and leader of the firm's data technology & cybersecurity group practice. He was formerly the Deputy Superintendent, Office of Financial Innovation, New York State Department of Financial Services.
Cahill Gordon & Reindel has elected Helena Franceschi, Meghan McDermott and Ross Sturman to the firm's partnership.
Otterbourg has promoted Nneoma Maduike to member in the firm's banking and finance group. In addition, Pauline McTernan. Evan Pilchik and Ikhwan Rafeek were promoted to of counsel.
Duane Morris has named partner Nanette Heide as co-chair of the firm's Private Equity Division of the Corporate Practice Group, along with Michael Hardy of the firm's Baltimore office. Also, the firm has elected Meghan DiPerna as a partner in its trial practice group.
Olshan Frome Wolosky has promoted Dov Brandstatter, Kenneth Mantel, Ryan Nebel, Meagan Reda, Peter Sartorius and Renee Zaytsev to partners. In addition, Jason Cabico has been named counsel.
Litigation boutique firm Holwell Shuster & Goldberg has promoted Jayme Jonat to partner. In addition, Eileen Monaghan DeLucia, Zachary Kerner, and Karen Sebaski have been named counsel at the firm.
Farrell Fritz has hired Cheryl Erato to its Uniondale office as a trusts & estates litigation associate. She was previously an associate at Salem, Shor & Saperstein.
Rawle & Henderson has hired Gabriel Arevalo as an associate.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer, is 3:24-cv-01423, Steins v. Sunrun, Inc. et al.
