Mayor's Advisory Board Schedules Two Hearings on Interim Civil Court and Family Court Judges
Hearings will be held on January 25 and January 28 at 9 a.m. at the Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings, 100 Church St.

The Mayor's Advisory Committee on the Judiciary will hold two public hearings—one on January 25 and the other on January 28—to receive information regarding Mayor Bill de Blasio's nominees for appointment to both Interim Civil Court and Family Court.
The January 25 hearing will address Interim Civil Court nominees Michael J. Gaffey, Wanda L. Licitra, Archana Rao, Robert Rosenthal, Quynda Santacroce, Audrey E. Stone, Jonathan Svetkey, Kerry J. Ward, and Jay L. Weiner. Written statements of information or testimony that will be presented at this Jan. 25 hearing must be faxed no later than 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 24 to the address given below.
The January 28 hearing will address Family Court nominees Keith E. Brown, Karen M.C. Cortes, Elizabeth L. Fassler, Gregory L. Gliedman, Ronna H. Gordon-Galchus, and Interim Civil Court nominee Linda M. Capitti. Written statements of information or testimony that will be presented at this Jan. 28 hearing must be faxed no later than 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25.

The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer, is 3:24-cv-01423, Steins v. Sunrun, Inc. et al.
