U.S. Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan spoke to dozens of law students at Fordham University School of Law Monday. She discussed looking for intelligent, interesting clerks who could hold their own in a debate; her interest in a confirmation process that focused on elevated questioning rather than political questions no one answers; and the win she wished former Justice Antonin Scalia would have taken on the issue of textualism at the high court. She also declared Spider-Man her favorite superhero. She was at the West Side law school to accept the 2018 Fordham-Stein Prize.
