Nassau County Administrative Judge Norman St. George welcomes more than 500 high school students, educators and parents to the 2019 New York State Mock Trial Tournament held in the Nassau County Supreme Court. The tournament is a joint initiative sponsored by the New York State Bar Association and coordinated by the Nassau County Bar Association. Volunteer judges and attorneys from Nassau County advise the high school teams and preside over individual trials.
As in past years, 50 high schools from Nassau County will participate; the winning team will continue on to compete for the state championship title.

The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
