Benjamin Allee of Yankwitt

Benjamin Allee, who spent the last decade as a prosecutor in the Southern District of New York U.S. Attorney's Office, has joined White Plains litigation boutique Yankwitt.

Allee was most recently deputy chief of the White Plains division at the Southern District office, overseeing a team of 20 federal prosecutors for cases in Westchester, Rockland, Orange, Putnam, Dutchess and Sullivan counties.

Allee handled a variety of cases in the office, including public corruption, fraud, cybercrime, money laundering, murder, racketeering and obstruction of justice. He tried 10 cases to verdict, second-sat and supervised additional trials and argued 12 appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Allee joined Yankwitt, a nine-attorney boutique founded in 2009, as a partner in its white-collar criminal defense practice Jan. 22. He also will represent clients in breach of contract cases, employment litigation, shareholder disputes and fraud investigations.

In a statement, Russell Yankwitt, the boutique's managing partner, said Allee “has appeared before every federal judge in Westchester County” and “the perspective and insight he has developed over the past 10 years as a trial attorney will add tremendous value to the firm and to our clients.”
