Federal and state courthouses in Manhattan will open on time March 4, but no defaults will be taken in NYC Civil Court, and there will be no evictions due to the snowstorm. Civil cases will be rescheduled for those who can't make it to court.

The Eastern District of New York will open one hour late, at 9:30 a.m. Jurors and jury staff are asked to arrive at the originally scheduled time.

In SDNY, The Hon. Charles L. Brieant Jr. Federal Building and Courthouse in White Plains will open at 11 a.m.

Putnam County courts will not open until 11 a.m., and the Poughkeepsie City Court will stay closed until 10 a.m.

The Meet the Presiding Justices of the Appellate Divisions forum, sponsored by the New York State Bar Association, will go on as scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 7  p.m. tonight at the Second Department.
