A record number of law firms and corporate legal departments raised money for hungry New Yorkers this year as part of the Justice Served Campaign, which just completed its fourth year.

The campaign raised enough money to provide more than 625,000 meals. Participants conducted old-school bake sales and jeans days but also put the word out on social media platforms to bring funds in.

“The need for hunger relief is ever-present,” said Lary Stromfeld, a Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft partner and founder of Justice Served. “The campaign offers participants the opportunity to raise awareness about hunger in our midst. Attorneys, staff and clients can connect in a common mission through volunteer opportunities and fundraising.”

Since the campaign started in 2016, Justice Served has provided more than 2 million meals.

The 24 participating firms were Alston & Bird; Bloomberg; Cadwalader; Carter Ledyard & Milburn; Dentons US; Fenwick & West; Goldman Sach; Herbert Smith Freehills; Jones Day; King & Spalding; Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel; McLaughlin & Stern; Morgan, Lewis & Bockius; Morgan Stanley; O'Melveny & Myers; Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison; Ropes & Gray; Shearman & Sterling; Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom and affiliates; Weil, Gotshal & Manges; Wells Fargo & Co.; White & Case; Winston & Strawn; and Withers Bergman.
