Herbert Rubin, 101, a name partner at Herzfeld & Rubin, has been practicing law for more than 65 years.

His biggest case, World-Wide Volkswagen v. Woodson, 444 U.S. 286, was before the U.S. Supreme Court in 1980 and is cited in law school textbooks.

But on Monday, he was in court as an ordinary citizen, arriving to answer a summons for jury duty at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
