I read with fascination your coverage on Aug, 20 of a study investigating the fate of bar exam applicants under the Uniform Bar Exam that New York adopted three years ago. Unfortunately, the article did not include any findings about how Latinos fared—the largest racial/ethnic group in the state.

We have been following this and had our trepidations about the outcomes—we registered our concern at the time because the UBE was not pre-tested for possible biased results. Instead, the study shows that Latinos did fairly well—news that I’m sure some of your readers would have appreciated.
