Practice Profile: Alfred Xue is a partner in the New York office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the banking practice, where he leads complex financings for an exceptional roster of clients around the world. He represents lead arrangers, direct lenders, and other financial institutions in leveraged finance transactions, with a particular focus on cross-border transactions and acquisition financings.

Mr. Xue's notable work in the last year includes representing J.P. Morgan, Credit Suisse, and the other lead arrangers in connection with Panther BF Aggregator 2 LP's US$10 billion senior secured bank facilities, senior secured asset based facilities, and senior secured and senior unsecured notes offerings in support of Brookfield Business Partners L.P.'s US$13.2 billion acquisition of the Power Solutions business of Johnson Controls.

Leadership, Pro Bono and Civic Work: Mr. Xue maintains an active portfolio of pro bono matters, including supervising the reviews of trial records for Texas prison inmates who qualify under the criteria set by the state's Forensic Science Commission in support of Latham's pro bono client organizations in Houston and Austin.

As part of Latham's involvement with Kids in Need of Defense (KIND), Mr. Xue plays a leading role on a Latham team representing a juvenile from Central America in connection with a petition for Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS). The matter is ongoing.

Mr. Xue also works with a New York-based non-profit that is dedicated to promoting, fostering, and advancing the health, welfare, and well-being of the elderly community in the New York area. Mr. Xue and his team advise on matters related to compliance with the New York Not-for-Profit Corporation Law and on board governance best practices.

Mr. Xue is a member of Latham's Opinions and Confirmations Committee for the Finance Department.
