Practice Profile: Pritesh Shah is a partner in Davis Polk & Wardwell's corporate department practicing in the intellectual property and technology transactions group. He provides advice and strategic counseling to technology, media and telecommunication companies, consumer product and fashion companies, fintech companies, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, and private equity and other investors on the intellectual property, data privacy, and technology aspects of a wide variety of transactions, including in connection with strategic commercial and licensing agreements, acquisitions/divestitures, mergers, spinoffs, joint ventures, and other development and collaboration arrangements.

Recent matters include advising on the IP and technology aspects of Ferrero's $2.8 billion acquisition of Nestlé's U.S. confectionary business; Heineken's strategic partnership and licensing arrangements with China Resources for the exploitation of Heineken in China; Millicom's $1.65 billion acquisition of Telefonica's wireless business in Panama, Costa Rica and Nicaraqua; GE's merger of GE Transportation and Wabtec Corporation; and Comcast's strategic wireless initiatives and commercial agreements.

Leadership, Pro Bono and Civic Work: Mr. Shah is devoted to giving back to the community. He provides IP and technology advice and counseling to a number of the firm's pro bono clients, and serves on the Board of Directors of iCivics, a nonprofit founded by Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, dedicated to reinvigorating civic learning through interactive and engaging learning resources and online games.

He is also an active member of Davis Polk's Recruiting Committee and Asian/South Asian/Middle Eastern (ASAME) affinity group.
