What are some of your proudest recent achievements? I am proud to represent diverse clients from throughout the United States, Latin America and Caribbean. My team and I have built a robust, diverse practice focused on problem solving and superb lawyering.

What does it mean to be a leader? A leader is a constant learner and problem-solver who also empowers others to do the same.

Name a lawyer or mentor whose leadership inspired you. Secretary Hillary Clinton and Cheryl Mills, both lawyers, gave me tremendous opportunity while I served in the U.S Department of State. They also inspired me to be fearless.

How are the business and profession of law changing, and how should lawyers adapt for the future? As lawyers, we need to be ready and able to manage diverse and complex problems. Increasingly, clients need strategic advice around complex legal problems but also push us to be creative in managing broader questions which often cross international lines.

What is the best advice for someone considering a career in law, or someone already in the profession who is seeking to make a greater impact? I recommend that lawyers diversify their experiences and learning environments. It is also important for us as lawyers to enjoy the work and the company we keep.
