Former Assistant Attorney General Desiree Cummings Joins Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd as Of Counsel

• Desiree Cummings has joined Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd as of counsel. She previously served as an assistant attorney general in the Investor Protection Bureau of the New York Attorney General's Office from 2012 until the end of 2019.
• Barclay Damon has added business trial attorney Lauren Wachtler to the firm's New York office. She joins the firm as a partner and member of the commercial litigation practice area. She previously served as a litigation department co-chair at Phillips Nizer.
• Alston & Bird has elected Gregory Carbo and Blake Estes to its partnership.
• Olshan Frome Wolosky has promoted Jonathan Koevary to partner in the firm's bankruptcy & financial restructuring practice.
• Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman has elected Thomas Fennell, Emily Hannigan and Elizabeth Klarin as partners with the firm.
• Norton Rose Fulbright has promoted Gerald Stein, Purvi Maniar, Richard Susalka and Richard Wright to partners.
• Hogan Lovells has named Michael DeLarco as office managing partner and Lisa Fried as office administrative partner at the firm's New York office.
• Robinson+Cole has elected Taylor Shea as partner. In addition, the firm has promoted Nathaniel Arden, Jonathan Schaefer, Cara Vecchione, and Anna Jinhua Wang to counsel.
• Ward Greenberg Heller & Reidy has promoted Amanda Burns to partner.
• Gallet Dreyer & Berkey has elevated Jared Foley to partner.
• Robinson Brog Leinwand Greene Genovese & Gluck has named partner Roger Raimond as managing partner. Raimond, serving in the firm's litigation & dispute resolution department, succeeds Ron Goodman, who served as managing partner for 12 years.
• Leason Ellis has promoted Jordan Garner and Lauren Emerson to partners.
• Scott Danner has been promoted to partner at Holwell Shuster & Goldberg.
• James Rosenzweig has joined Forchelli Deegan Terrana as a partner in the firm's real estate, banking & finance and its restaurant & hospitality practice groups. He joins from The Riese Organization, where he served as vice president and general counsel.
• Kleinberg Kaplan has promoted Joshua Bromberg and Arinze Ike to partner.
• Bressler, Amery & Ross has named capital markets and regulatory attorney Mark Knoll as managing principal of its New York office. He succeeds Andy Sidman, who has managed the office since 2007. The firm also announced that Knoll and Sidman will co-chair its financial institutions regulatory defense practice.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

Edmund Polubinski and Marie Killmond of Davis Polk & Wardwell have entered appearances for data platform software development company MongoDB and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The case is 1:24-cv-07594, Roy v. Ittycheria et al.

The suit was filed Sept. 7 in Wisconsin Western District Court by Levine Eisberner LLC and Siri & Glimstad on behalf of a project manager who claims that he was wrongfully terminated after applying for a religious exemption to the defendant's COVID-19 vaccine mandate. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer, is 3:24-cv-01423, Steins v. Sunrun, Inc. et al.
