State Attorney General Letitia James spoke on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at the NYSBA's annual meeting, during a discussion on white nationalism and domestic terrorism in the U.S.  "Given the rise in hate crimes, to sit idly by and do absolutely nothing to me is not the answer," said James, who called out President Donald Trump, noting he had "[refused] to denounce white nationalism." The country needs "to make changes to the law to hold these individuals responsible" she said about home-grown extremists, according to the state bar's announcement of the discussion. Other panelists pictured are Craig Boise, left, dean and professor of law at Syracuse University, College of Law; and Leonard Zeskind, president, Institute for Research and Education of Human Rights. The event was held at the Hilton Midtown in New York.
