Jodi Lashin Joins Blank Rome as Partner From Reed Smith

- Jodi Lashin has joined Blank Rome as a partner in the firm's corporate, M&A, and securities group. She joins from Reed Smith where she served as counsel.
- Seyfarth has added Rotem Bar-Kokhva as a partner in the firm's corporate department and tax practice. He joins from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom where he practiced in that firm's tax group.
- Ronnie Schindel has joined Pryor Cashman as co-chair of its family law group. He joins from Aronson, Mayefsky & Sloan.
- Hinckley Allen has hired Jeremy Smith as a partner in its construction & public contracts group. He joins the firm's Albany office after serving as partner at Couch White.
- Polsinelli has added Robert King as counsel. He was previously with Locke Lord.
- Kaufman Dolowich & Voluck has added Rashmee Sinha as an employment practices liability partner in its Woodbury, NY headquarters. Prior to joining she was a partner in the New York City office of Norris McLaughlin, P.A.
- Lorraine Stacknowitz Boss has joined Forchelli Deegan Terrana as a tax, trusts & estates partner. Prior to joining, she was at Brosnan & Hegler in Garden City, NY.
- The New York State Education Department and the New York State Board of Regents have appointed Dennis Spillane to be the executive director of the Office of Professional Discipline (OPD) and Professional Conduct Officer. He is a former OPD director of prosecutions and chief of the CPA enforcement unit and will oversee both divisions in his new position. He succeeds Douglas Lentivech, who is retiring after 25 years.
- Reed Smith has added Evan Kelson as a partner in the firm's financial industry group. He joins from Chapman and Cutler.
- Randy Zelin has joined Wilk Auslander as counsel and will head the firm's newly formed investigation, government enforcement and white collar defense practice.
- McNamee Lochner, located in Albany, has added Richard Walsh, Jr. and Paul Davenport as of counsel. The were both formerly partners at Lombardi, Walsh, Davenport and Amodeo.
- John Moscow has joined GreyList Trace Ltd. as a consultant to help the company develop its business in North America and worldwide. Moscow will remain as senior counsel at Lewis Baach Kaufman Middlemiss.
- Cullen and Dykman has added partner Olivia Gross to its construction and insurance coverage litigation practice. She joins from New York-based Newman Myers Kreines Gross Harris.
- Kaufman Dolowich & Voluck has elevated Stephen Brodsky and Megan Yllanes to partner.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The case is 1:24-cv-07594, Roy v. Ittycheria et al.

The suit was filed Sept. 7 in Wisconsin Western District Court by Levine Eisberner LLC and Siri & Glimstad on behalf of a project manager who claims that he was wrongfully terminated after applying for a religious exemption to the defendant's COVID-19 vaccine mandate. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
