Dates for the rescheduled July 2020 New York State Bar Examination have been finalized to Sept. 9 and 10, according to the New York State Board of Law Examiners.

The New York Court of Appeals announced March 27 that the bar exam would not be administered on its originally scheduled dates, July 28 to 29, due to concerns about spread of COVID-19.

The application period for the rescheduled examination will open at midnight May 5 and will close at 11:59 p.m. May 30.

Additional information regarding the impact of COVID-19 on the July 2020 bar exam is available on the National Conference of Bar Examiners' website at ncbex.org/ncbe-covid-19-updates.

The state Board of Law Examiners also announced grading of the February 2020 Uniform Bar Examination is progressing despite the COVID-19 crisis. However, due to the closure of the board's office, the release of the February 2020 UBE results may be delayed beyond the usual time period (usually on or before May 1). All candidates who sat for the February 2020 UBE should monitor their emails and visit the board's website, nybarexam.org, for more information.
