Orange County Supreme Court Justice Steven Milligram died Tuesday morning of complications from COVID-19, a spokesman for the New York state court system confirmed Wednesday.

Milligram, 66, was new to the Supreme Court bench, and it was his “dream job,” his former law partner Joseph Catania Jr., of Catania, Mahon & Rider, said Wednesday. He was elected in November and sworn in in January after eight years as a Monroe town justice.
