Just as the coronavirus crisis was advancing in late March, Schulte Roth & Zabel’s longtime chairman, Alan Waldenberg, stepped down as part of a planned leadership transition.

The firm’s new leaders, David Efron, 51, and Marc Elovitz, 55, are now navigating the crisis for the firm, after being named co-managing partners last fall.
