It was 4 p.m. on Thursday when 40 lawyers, who’d been busy as usual juggling cases and clients from their coronavirus-free basements and dining rooms, decided to put things on hold and log on to a state bar association-run online support group for anxious and overwhelmed lawyers.

Conducted via Zoom, it was the eighth session of the “Lawyer to Lawyer Well-Being Roundtable.” The group chats are held privately using a session link sent to participants; the confidentiality of their names and workplaces is guaranteed.
