A state judicial disciplinary panel on Thursday reelected Joseph Belluck, a founding partner at Belluck & Fox, to serve as chair of the commission.

The state Commission on Judicial Conduct also elected Taa Grays, who is vice president and associate general counsel for information governance at MetLife Inc., to serve as vice chair of the panel, according to a press release.

Belluck has served as commission chair since 2016 and was first appointed to the panel in 2008 by former Gov. David Paterson, the release says. He is a current appointee of Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

First appointed to the disciplinary panel in 2017, Grays' current term on the commission ends in 2023 and she succeeds Paul Harding in the vice chair role, according to the commission.

Belluck and Grays issued a joint statement saying they are honored to serve on the commission and will continue to work with their colleagues and the staff of the commission "to advance the administration of justice."

"Especially during these times, we appreciate the confidence of our colleagues in electing us as officers," they said in the statement.
