Kings County Supreme Court Justice ShawnDya L. Simpson will retire in October after being diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, the New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct announced Monday.
Commission administrator Robert Tembeckjian described the diagnosis for Simpson, who is in her mid-50s, as "heartbreaking."
