As the nation continues to face a coronavirus pandemic, state officials warned Tuesday that New York's election system was not built for a tidal wave of absentee ballots and agreed that more resources are needed for the looming November election.

Issues with the primary election included delayed vote tallies, disenfranchisement concerns and reports that absentee ballots didn't arrive in time.
