A Long Island man charged in April with violating the Defense Production Act by hoarding items needed amid the coronavirus pandemic will donate more than $450,000 worth of personal protective equipment to hospitals, first responders and others responding to the pandemic, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York announced Friday.

Amardeep Singh, 45, of Woodbury, New York, signed a deferred prosecution agreement in which he agreed to the donation and accepted responsibility for his actions, according to court records. He also agreed to two years of supervision by the U.S. Pretrial Service Agency.
