Last week, the Wisconsin Supreme Court—by a single vote—ruled that the Green Party candidate could not be on that state's presidential ballot.  Wisconsin is an important swing state which President Donald Trump carried by 27, 257 votes.  Given the fact that the Green Party candidate garnered over 30,000 in 2016, the Republican Party felt that the presence of a third-party progressive candidate on the ballot would siphon votes away from Joe Biden.  The initial reason for the Green Party's loss of a ballot position was an incorrect address listed for one of the candidates.  The Party's excuse was that the candidate had moved during the signature gathering process.
