Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Monday decided against ordering law firm offices and other nonessential businesses to shut down in coronavirus hot spots in New York City.
The third-term governor is moving to curb infections in the hot spots but did not approve the full proposal from New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, who rolled out a plan to shutter nonessential businesses in nine ZIP codes starting Wednesday. The ZIP codes cover portions of Queens and Brooklyn.
