cup-trophyThe City Bar Justice Center has announced its 10 recipients of this year's Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award, in which the legal services group recognizes and celebrates the "outstanding" volunteer attorneys who have contributed to its core pro-bono lawyering projects.

In a news release announcing the awardees, Lynn Kelly, the Justice Center's executive director, calls the nation's current climate "a uniquely challenging era marked by profound division as well as historic levels of need."

"Our volunteers' tremendous generosity, legal creativity, hard work and commitment to the highest level of service for those who cannot afford legal counsel are as valuable to our low-income clients as they are deeply inspiring to all of us committed to equal access to justice," Kelley also says as part of her statement in the release. "Our 2020 Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award honorees have our heartfelt gratitude for their exceptional dedication to pro bono work on behalf of clients from across our practice areas, and for demonstrating the true meaning of justice for all."
