What advice would you give to young lawyers?

From the start of your career, make every effort to fully understand the "big picture" of each transaction or litigation matter you work on.  If you have a good sense of your client's ultimate goals and how your individual work contributes to those goals, you will produce better, more thoughtful work product and you will also find the practice much more fulfilling.
