The state court system has named Judge Gerald W. Connolly as the new administrative judge for the state's third judicial district, which covers a swath of upstate New York.

The state court system has named Judge Gerald W. Connolly as the new administrative judge for the state's third judicial district, which covers a swath of upstate New York.
Connolly will take over the post from Judge Thomas A. Breslin, who is retiring. Connolly, whose appointment starts Nov. 2, will supervise trial court operations in the district, according to a press release from the state court system Tuesday.
