As officials battle a wave of coronavirus cases statewide, new criminal and civil jury trials are halted until at least late February in the Western District of New York under a new order released by the court. 

The order, signed Tuesday by U.S. District Chief Judge Frank P. Geraci Jr., puts the brakes on all jury trials set to take place between now through Feb. 24. That goes for all grand jury selections in the district too, according to the order.
