U.S. District Judge Nicholas Garaufis of the Eastern District of New York on Thursday said his chambers received "a number" of critical messages from members of the public after the U.S. Department of Homeland Security named the judge in a series of notices on its website related to Garaufis' recent ruling on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.
