Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon has apparently retained Davidoff Hutcher & Citron partner Robert Costello to represent him in a criminal conspiracy case, after his previous counsel moved to withdraw from the case.

Costello entered a notice of appearance Friday in Manhattan federal court, where Bannon and three associates are accused of swindling investors in We Build the Wall, an online crowdfunding campaign in support of President Donald Trump’s effort to build a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border.
