After Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Tuesday signed into law a bill reforming power of attorney procedures in New York, more than 300 people tuned into a Wednesday morning Zoom forum hosted by the New York State Bar Association to learn about the changes.

NYSBA president Scott Karson said the new law, which comes after a decade of advocacy from the bar, will make the power of attorney process “far more user-friendly [and] far more consumer-friendly.”
