Automatic voter registration will come to New York after Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Tuesday greenlighted a bill passed by state lawmakers this summer.
The move will clear the path for more than a million additional people to vote in New York, according to state Senate Deputy Majority Leader Michael Gianaris, a sponsor of the bill.
